The Challenge of Islam

by Samuel Zwemer (Author), Josh Levesque (Editor)

For generations, Samuel M. Zwemer has been known as “The Apostle to Islam.” A pioneering missionary and scholar, Zwemer devoted his life to studying the Muslim world and calling Christians to bring the Gospel to its people.

First published in 1907, Islam: A Challenge to Faith became one of the most influential Christian works ever written on Islam. Challenging Islam presents a modern, condensed edition of Zwemer’s classic work — carefully edited for clarity and accessibility, preserving his essential arguments while making his insights available to a new generation of readers.

Inside you will explore the historical roots and sources of Islam, the life and influence of Mohammed, the spread of Islam across nations and centuries, Islamic theology, ethics, and religious practices, and the Christian responsibility to bring the Gospel to Muslims.
