Baptist, Body and Bride

Description

Jack Moorman examines the Biblical teaching on the church as both the Body and the Bride of Christ, addressing the question of whether the Body of Christ is universal or local. He demonstrates from Scripture that the New Testament consistently uses church language to refer to the local assembly of baptized believers, and that the universal church concept — while beloved in much evangelical thinking — is not supported by careful exegesis of the relevant passages.
