The Traditional Text of the Holy Gospels, Vol. 1
Dean Burgon’s landmark scholarly defense of the Traditional Text of the Gospels against the new critical text promoted by Westcott and Hort.
Description
Dean Burgon’s landmark scholarly defense of the Traditional Text of the Gospels against the new critical text promoted by Westcott and Hort. Burgon demonstrates from an exhaustive study of manuscripts, patristic citations, and lectionaries that the Traditional Text (which underlies the King James Bible) represents the authentic text of the New Testament. Volume 1 focuses on the Four Gospels, laying the evidentiary foundation for rejecting the minority text of Codex Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.
